Current patients

As a valued patient, we are delighted to be able to offer you a new type of dental care at New Street.

We are now working in partnership with Denplan to offer you an alternative to NHS dental treatment which enables patients to access private dental treatment at our surgery, with an affordable monthly payment. This is an optional scheme.

If you are a current patient and would like to continue to receive NHS treatment at New Street, then we will be happy to continue see you. Please note you will need to pay for NHS treatment unless you hold a valid exemption certificate.

Why not register for Denplan?

Existing patients can still register for Denplan, if have any questions or need further information.

New patients

If you are interested in joining us as a new patient, please visit us here at New Street to register in the first instance.

We offer high quality private dental treatment via Denplan - meaning you can enjoy the best quality dental care with an affordable monthly payment. Denplan also offers discounts for children and families, so why not sign everyone up and get full peace of mind?

Under a Denplan payment scheme you will receive:

  • your choice of dentist
  • regular check-ups
  • longer appointment times
  • cleaning and polishing as standard
  • enhanced x-ray using our Orthopantomogram system
  • discounts on other treatments which may not  already be included in the Denplan scheme.

If you have been seen at the practice as an NHS patient in the past  but you have not attended an appointment in the past three years and you would still like to see a dentist at New Street, you can  register with us under the new Denplan scheme.

Top tips for oral health

After brushing, spit out your toothpaste and leave the residue in your mouth. This will help strengthen your teeth, no rinsing!

Brushing effectively only cleans 70% of your teeth, cavities a prone to developing in between teeth. Use floss or internal brushes daily.

It's important not to brush your teeth straight after eating, this can weaken them in the long run. Try and wait at least 15 minutes.

It does not require force when brushing, ask your hygienist or dentist for the right technique.

Water is the best thing to drink throughout the day.

When buying toothpaste - always ensure it has fluoride in, this is the ingredient that prevents cavities.

The most important time to brush is before bed, and one other time during the day.

Testimonials

"I have been a patient of Dr Kurichan’s for 5 years and have always found him to be professional and friendly with an excellent chair side manner. All of the staff at New Street are welcoming with a cheerful disposition which is brilliant for a nervous patient such as myself."

"I have always found New Street to be very accommodating and welcoming. My little boy and I share an appointment which is brilliant as it allows for acclimatisation from a young age."
