Reception

Guaranteed a friendly, warm welcome every visit, come and meet our highly skilled reception team who will smooth your dental worries away and arrange appointments to suit all your dental needs.

Waiting area

Relax while you wait for your appointment in one of our comfy waiting rooms, where you will be greeted personally by your nurse before you meet your dentist. The waiting area has magazines, a water cooler and toilets for you to use.

Meet the team

At New Street Dental Practice we have four well equipped dental surgeries and a state of the art OPG x-ray machine to cater for all of your dental needs.

We are a dedicated team who look after the patients who walk into our surgery with all type of needs. We understand how important oral health is to you and believe a good oral health is key to a healthy and attractive smile. We offer treatment on all aspects of general dentistry with particular attention on  prevention of disease. Dentistry is constantly evolving and we here make an conscious  effort to keep updated with the modern developments in General Dentistry. All our staff have regular training to sharpen the skills. We have the services of a hygienist who can deliver oral hygiene procedures and educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene. We have a dedicated management team who take care of the running of the  surgery so that the patient gets the most time, attention and care.

Through open and honest discussion, we can formulate treatment plan taking care of your individual needs and concerns. We have a safe and relaxed environment in this surgery. We have strict protocols in place for confidentiality, health and safety, hygiene.We follow gold standards with regard to sterilisation.

We have a friendly and professional approach to the patients and you can be assured that you’re in a safe and relaxed place when you are with us.

Dentist
Graduated in 1996 and has been working as a General Dental Practioner since. He completed a IQE Statutory Examinations in 2008. He has been in New Street Dental Practice ,Sandwich since 2009 apart from a break of 2 years in between, where he went to pursue further studies.
Dr Nicole Ashraf

Nicole

Dentist
Dr Nicole qualified from Bart’s and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2018 and went on to complete her foundation training in Brentwood under the Essex Coast scheme. She is committed to continuing professional development by completing the MFDS examinations, whilst also furthering her skills and knowledge within periodontology, a keen interest of hers, through an MSc at the Eastman dental institute. Dr Ashraf’s friendly and compassionate nature helps to put anxious and new patients at ease and aims to build positive patient experiences. In her free time, Dr Ashraf enjoys baking and has also recently got back into netball.
Dr Binderpal Bains

Binderpal (Bunty)

Dentist
Dr Binderpal or “Bunty” for short, attended Gravesend Grammar School. He went on to work as a Dental Assistant in his Gap Year, and qualified from Barts’ and the London School of Dentistry in 2012 with Honours. He then went on to complete his membership examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons in 2013 and completed an MSc in Primary Dental Care in 2015 at the University of Kent. As well as various positions in dental practice, he has worked as an Oral and Maxillofacial Senior House Officer at the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, followed by a post as a Dental Restorative Senior House Officer at the Royal London Dental Hospital. Whilst working at Kelvin House, Bunty also held a post as an Oral Surgery Staff Grade Doctor at the world-renowned Queen Victoria Hospital between 2017-2019. Outside dentistry, Bunty has a keen interest in music and plays a North Indian classical musical instrument known as the tabla. Bunty also provides cosmetic dental treatments including Invisalign teeth straightening, composite bonding and wrinkle smoothing treatments.

Dental Nurse
Became an Apprentice Nurse in 2010 and Qualified in 2012 as a Dental Nurse. ADP/IDH. Started working for the trust at New Street, Sandwich as a Dental Nurse in April 2013.

Hygienist

The dental hygienist's role is predominately focused on patients gum health. This is achieved through providing patients with oral hygiene information, as prevention is absolute key. A hygienist role also includes scaling - bacteria disruption, calculus/tartar and stain removal. Additionally a therapist focuses on the health of my patients teeth whilst carrying a variety of treatments such as; fissure sealants, fluoride application, fillings, crowns and extractions.
